The Mouth of the South

Karen got me a present last week: Classic Clower Power, a "best of" compilation of the best comedy bits of Jerry Clower, who was the Blue Collar Comedy tour by himself back in the day. I had most of these on vinyl LP when I was a kid, but who knows where that record went. Jerry was a born-again Southern Baptist who talked about growing up "country" back in the days "when Coke was still cola, a joint was a bad place to be, back before Nixon lied to us all on TV." (Man, I miss Merle Haggard on the radio...).
